- Favorite non-vegan restaurant in WPB
I have eaten at Queen of Sheeba 5 or 6 times now. The food is always good. It's a lovely, friendly, family owned business. I had never tasted Ethiopian food before, but I love the bold flavors and healthy vegan options. Everything is fresh and vibrant. My favorite dish is the shiro wot, which are seasoned ground chickpeas with onions and assorted spices. I also always order the misor wot: red lentil stew simmered in red pepper sauce, with fresh garlic and ginger and the stewed split peas in tumeric sauce. There are also dishes featuring vegetables like collard greens and cabbage. The inujura (bread like substance) used to eat the dishes is also wonderful. Best to go with a friend and split a vegetable platter so that you can try many items. It is not in the best part of town; so the restaurant has a parking lot to the side of the building for patrons. The outside eating area is also charming, when it isn't too hot.
