• Good greasy grub!

Casino Diner is like a US diner with nice big booths to sit in and rock music playing. Service is really friendly, and there are English menus. Vegan options are marked - falafel, or the veggie burger. When ordering, you should specify that you are vegan because the white bread bun isn't vegan, and it's usually served with coleslaw. I got the brown bun and a nice salad instead. It's a huge burger and the patty was really tasty (it's made from sweet potato and lentils, and I saw some sweetcorn and kidney beans in there too). It was cooked well, so it was really crisp on the outside. The vegan cheese melted well. It was such a big portion that I couldn't finish it - you should definitely arrive feeling very hungry if you want to finish your meal! I found it a touch too greasy, but great for a treat. The staff seemed really knowledgeable about vegan options, so I felt pretty confident about eating there - no worries about contamination! Just to add, as it says on the menu, it's not fast food, so don't expect to get your food immediately after ordering. It's junk food done well!
