• Cosy place, friendly staff, quite palatable cakes

I went to Zucker & Zimt the late afternoon, looking for a piece of vegan cake. They actually have a decent selection of vegan cupcakes and the sight of the cakes made my mouth water. Unfortunately it wasn't as tasty as it looked. The dough was palatable but the cream was rather dry, almost floury. I tried two different cupcakes and both were not all that bad but definitely not an epiphany. They sell vegan ice cream and different kinds of tea and coffee, too. Apart from all that the place is a cosy, hip sidewalk café, decorated in soft colours. The staff is friendly, so all in all I can recommend this location. Because the cupcakes are obviously designed and baked and with love it's not easy to give only "three cows", but the taste wasn't worth more, even though everything else was really nice.
