- Pretty good vegan pizza
Since all my favorite veg*n places were closed today, I found Mellow Mushroom on HappyCow and thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. While there is no "vegan section of the menu" here (as the HappyCow description suggests), the menu does explain that the gluten-free crusts are vegan, and that Daiya vegan cheese is available. (Personally, I prefer homemade vegan cheeses, such as cashew-yeast blends, etc., but since Mellow Mushroom doesn't offer these, at least there's Daiya for those who like it.) I applaud Mellow Mushroom for providing vegan options. Service was friendly and attentive, and parking was ample.
