- Worth a visit, just be careful
It's a bit confusing when you first walk into Country Life, there's a Rainbow Cafe style help yourself queue where you can pile up your plate full of wonderful vegetarian and vegan food. But when you get to the checkout they actually weigh your plate and charge you for all the individual bits on it. Mine came to £7.50, which was way more than I had wanted to spend and I didn't feel like I had gotten that much. If I went back I would probably stick to salad leaves and veg then get a bowl of their soup, which was reasonably priced. I also bought an expensive bottle of water without knowing there was actually a free water tank just next to the till, gutted! The cafe was busy, but we managed to get a seat next to a window. It was cosy and comfortable. We ate at Maitrea and Clearhead over the next few days, both of which were far above this little place in a quality and price. However I'm not knocking it, it was a haven from all the tourist trap cafes Updated from previous review on 2016-10-02
