  • Disappointed

Had dinner here with my boyfriend (omnivore) a few nights ago during our trip to NYC. Unfortunately it turned out to be bit of a disappointment especially after reading all the other great reviews. We ordered the parsnip cappelletti and cape cod cakes for starters. The cappelletti was very salty and just bland; the little cakes (which looked more like balls actually) were OK, not outstanding though. Then for entree I did the phyllo roulade, which was tasty but far from impressive. My boyfriend had the lasagna, which didn't really have any flavor other than salt. He said it was not bad but for sure isn't worth the price. As an upscale vegan restaurant, they have beautiful decor, nice ambiance, a very innovative menu, and fancy food presentation. But given this food quality, I think we will try somewhere else when we visit the city next time.
