  • Not terrible but...

I've been there twice with friends. I am vegan, have been to other vegan restaurants, so I just want to give you (probably also vegan person) a good idea of what you're in for. Keep in mind that they're only a year old at the time of writing this, so there's room to grow. Pro: the outdoor patio, chess tables, the tables salvaged from the Black Forest fire, the inviting stickers for cyclists, LGBTQ people and of course vegans. Con: Portions are small, not filling, not worth the money in my opinion. I don't mind paying good money for a meal, but other vegan restaurants I've gone to give you an actual meal. My boyfriend's sloppy joe didn't come with any sides, 8$. My taco salad was supposed to come with ranch but seemed to have the smallest squirt of it possible, also undersized, also 8$. I'm getting hungry thinking about the portions lol. The parfait was probably the most disappointing. 5$ for a baby food jar filled with not very deliciousness. Same with the ice cream, not as good as it sounds on paper, not worth the money. Pro: They host a 'Vegan Drinks For A Cause', and other vegan stuff here and there. They hire alternative looking people. They want people to socialize so they have no wifi (I guess that's kind of a con too, I work from my laptop so maybe I'd hang out more if they did). They're eco conscious. All in all, I like some of their food items like their sloppy joes were tasty but I would go there mainly just to support a vegan business. Their menu is limited and has lots of ingredient repeats. I want to see them grow.
