- Great but expensive
It's great that the Halifax area finally has a vegan-friendly fast food chain. Freshii has bowls, salads, burritos and chili. The downside is that the options aren't clearly labelled on the menu so you have to ask the cashier what's vegan. The first time I went, the cashier was able to tell me. The second time, the cashier brought out a book with all of the allergen information for us to look at. The first time I went, I got a custom salad which was massive. The last two times, I got the Buddha's satay bowl, once on noodles and once on quinoa which was pretty good. You can add tofu or falafel to them. Freshii can get pretty expensive. It costs me about $15 to get a bowl and a drink there.
