  • Lebanese cuisine in Poitiers

This small restaurant is in a quiet street in the centre of Poitiers, near the pedestrianized area. The choice of vegetarian options is limited in a chiefly flesh-based menu, but a generous and tasty vegetarian meal can be ordered from classic veggie starters: falafel, rice-stuffed vine leaves, fattouch (chopped tomatoes with herbs)and houmous, together with delicious thin unleavened bread, accompanied by Lebanese beer or wine. We had a vegetarian platter which combines all the starters with salad and a small portion of chips (plumper than French fries, as the Brits like them) together with a cole slaw type dip. For dessert there is a variety of Lebanese pastries, with an espresso to end. Satisfying and tasty if not "lite"!
