  • How to get a vegan pizza

A few months ago, Cheeseboard began to sell a vegan version of their Pizza of the Day using the mouth-watering local vegan mozzarella from the fine folks at The Butcher's son. I called before going to see how to order a vegan option because you have to wait in line at Cheeseboard. Here's what they recommend: Go up to the front of the line (better to go to the workers on the left) and kindly ask them to make you a vegan pizza with the Butcher's Son mozzarella. They'll ask you your name and then they'll write it on the back of their cold case. They'll tell you to get back in line and that your pizza will be ready by the time you're up there. I have always had to wait longer, but that just means that I've already paid and gotten my drinks and a table and can just go to the front and get the pizza when it's ready. This might sound like a lot, but I assure you, it is WORTH IT! This place makes excellent pizza and it's worker-owned, and they're really awesome people! The Cheeseboard is vegetarian too- they never sell a meat pizza. Updated from previous review on 2017-01-17
