  • Unique in Tokyo

The food stand is beautiful and the atmosphere at Commune 246 is probably unique in Tokyo. The crowd is heavy on foreigners and pretty much everything's in English. If I forgot I was in Tokyo, I might think I was in the USA or northern/central Europe. I appreciate a vegan stand here but unfortunately the food could be better. They are trying to make something you'd find in Portland I think, but it's just a small portion of weird things mixed together (lettuce, cabbage, a couple potato chips, mushrooms, soy nuggets, different sauces). It's worth a visit to see the Commune 246 space and try Cori, but I wouldn't go again for the food.
