  • Vegan-friendly Tibetan restaurant

Very friendly restaurant - happy to take time to show us which dishes were vegan and very patient given we arrived not long before they were due to close for the afternoon. It was really peaceful and relaxed, pleasant atmosphere for a break from seeing the sights. We hadn't had Tibetan food before so we tried the mixed starter platter and 2 very different mains. The starter platter had a good mixture of flavours and textures - fried dumplings, tofu in a sauce, crunchy cabbage salad and potato cakes with a yummy green sauce. Also tried some Tibetan tea which came with a wooden bowl to drink from and went well with the food. If you're a huge fan of steamed dumplings, the first main on the menu has 2 tiers of dumplings, a glass noodle salad and some sauce. It was pleasant but we both preferred the main (sorry, have forgotten the name) that has thinly-sliced veg protein, a salad, dahl and rice, nice and spicy, a generous portion and good variety within the dish.
