  • All things sake!

Off the bat, one thing is irrefutable. Yoram, the gentleman behind the bar, literally and figuratively, is well-versed in all things sake. The right tasting technique is explained patiently, though he's gone through this routine a thousand times. After being asked which tastes I disliked in general, he exhibited three big sake bottles in front of me. The tasting started and two more different sakes were added to my list later in the evening. Yoram shared his thoughts about the sake industry's history in Japan and how the new generations are discovering the intricacies of this national beverage. I did not try the food as I had already eaten but I will go back just for Yoram as he seems a very thoughtful, easy-going and interesting person. He even knew about Oberweis, one of Luxembourg's famous chocolate makers.
