  • Is This Very British Tea Room Really Vegan? YES!

There are just no words to capture the graceful beauty... the pure elegance... or the captivating British style that Christine, the Very Vegan Owner of the wonderfully Scottish and ever so "British" Tea House called Muir's Tea Room nestled in the charming neighborhood of Sebastopol, CA has put together so masterfully. You simply must make the cultured scenic drive and drink in the magnificent of this rare sparkling gem. Whether you simply drive by bashful and reserved to take a peek of this amazing cottage, or brave the steps into this mystical get-away into our very own American "Austenland," you will save yourself thousands of dollars for a jaunt back in time as you find yourself dining in High Tea time, a cup of tea, or a small dinner (which the all the British-- not just the Scottish-- would quietly take in a more reserved "Afternoon Tea" safely in the well-groomed hands of the Tea Room's skillful manager, Keith, who vigorously trains all of the waitstaff to highest of esteemed elegance in service. The only quality that can top this outstanding Tea Service off is of course the phenomenal culinary delights of none other than Tika, the most amazing brilliant chef and pastry genius alive! Every morsel that passes your lips in this fabulous dream is the creation of the most gifted and laborious work of art, caressed and bathed completely in loving perfection by this wonderful and beautiful angel, Tika. Even my hard-to-please, ever-so-critical husband sat up in his chair completely overcome with pure delight with his first bite into the scrumptious Tea-Based Sweetheart Cupcake I ordered To Go for our drive back home to Southern California's TV-FAMOUS town of Ojai, CA and proclaimed, "This is the best cupcake I've ever had in my life!" It made the perfect final touch after my husband's mouth-watering Hummus Sandwich (he gave it "2" Thumbs-ups as the Hummus Connesouir of Ojai) and my loveliest modest "Tea Service for One." All so beyond delicious you won't believe it until you try it. There is a glorious portrait of the famous Scottish-born, John Muir, above the fireplace mantle. And, all around you is the goodness of Victorian decor bathing you completely in the cheeriest of good tidings as is the custom at the turn of the last century... with many of these good offerings for sale too! You will want to stroll down to the ladies' or gents' washroom before you go and as you do, make sure to catch a good long look at the exciting baked goodies to buy for the way home... because I'm sure if you pick some up, they will be all eaten well before you actually arrive at home. So, remember to visit Muir's Tea Room with a healthy appetite in hand whether alone or in a party, you are sure to find elegance, delectable joy and the meaning of honest-to-goodness true service in Christine's Victorian Vegan Heaven shining softly and ever so brightly in the classic ambience of Muir's Sebastopol Tea Room. She tells me they are even changing the menu up in the near future, which no doubt be a delightful event. So, come quickly and come soon, you will want many, many glowing memories to don your waxing nostalgia for years to come.
