- Lovely tapas!
Cute atmosphere, tasty food, and great service make this a lovely little cafe. I enjoyed the tomato soup (which was clearly braised and therefore so packed with flavour it made me wonder how to improve the one I cook at home!) and three of the starters. Unfortunately, two of the three I chose weren't available, so I had to have two I wasn't so keen on. The first was seaweed salad, which was unfortunately too seaweedy and lacking in balancing flavours, the roasted veg, which were ok but nothing special, and the almonds in smoked paprika oil, which was life-changing and which I could've eaten kilos of. So much yum. There was also a great range of tea, coffee, juices, smoothies, and cocktails available, as well as tasty-looking desserts. The staff were just lovely- very helpful, friendly, and kind. They seemed busy but we're still able to provide great service. The only con was that, like so many places in Spain, the kitchen doesn't open til late (8.30pm), so I missed out on enjoying some of the delicious-sounding cooked food. I found Vega easy to find, and it's just around the corner from a bustling little plaza and near some other great attractions. Big bonus for being 100% cruelty free!
