  • One of the best of the open-air eateries

Taon Sin is surprisingly good. While it looks much like countless other casual, open-air eateries, the quality here is a step up. The buffet case includes plenty of whole green veggies, as well as a few above-average faux meat selections. Flavors and textures were good, and the veggies weren't overcooked. For those with a sweet tooth, there's also a selection of packaged Chinese-style dessert pastries and a few crunchy snacks. The proprietors are kind and gentle, and the whole experience was quite pleasant. It's only about 10 minutes east of Patong by scooter. Enjoy!
