- These guys deserve more cred.
We went here an evening after some shopping in Shibuya. We are frequent visitors of the city, at one point I lived here for a while. I know how hard it is to find good vegan/vegetarian food. Our trips have been highs and lows. This is by far the best food I've eaten in Japan. Some previous reviewers had opinions about the origin of other patrons, or the lack of rice? This is like a izakaya meets tapas but in a super laid back way, without trying to hard. If you go here and eat one dish each, you will not understand what it is about. I would recommend anybody going to this place to have the Garden Salad as a centerpiece and then order dishes around that. The first night (2 persons) we had the salad, gyoza, deepfried tofu with tartar sauce, soymeat in sweet vinegar (this one is to die for) and the hemp croquette. They had good organic beer and good sake options. The second time I brought another friend, meat eater, and he was impressed too. That time we also tried the fried seitan, and the soymeat ginger fry, both super delicious. Do you want to eat tasty food and try japanese style dishes that you usually can't because they contain meat/fish, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for Shojin Ryori then this is NOT the place for you. The staff is helpfull and super nice. Can not recommend this place enough! // The two Swedes =)
