Your first time, get one of the sampler platters (I think the veggie one is $1-2 less expensive) which come with 5 choices on a large platter. They will expand the sizes depending on how many people order the platter, so it will all come on one platter for everyone to share. Don't bring stick in the mud people who need to use a fork and knife and don't like getting their fingers dirty. The wat and berbere dishes are terrific for those who like barbecue style meat/veggies (beans). I love it and get a craving for it about once every 2 months. It doesn't look like a whole lot when it gets to the table, but the injera will help fill you up. If you're over 250 lbs. good luck getting into the men's bathroom!
