• Gem Worth Driving To

We recently started going to Nelli Rae's and are delighted to have discovered it as it is extremely rare in our area to find an all-vegetarian cafe or restaurant. The food is very high quality and priced very fairly. The desserts are extraordinary! My current favorites are Hugh's Lemon Cake and the blondie brownies with peanut butter frosting. Desserts seem to vary as far as the offerings--meaning there is not a set menu of them but a changing display case-- however there are always more than enough to choose from. The decor is cozy--the bathroom is right out of "The Waltons"--and classic country in a wholesome, "up", non-cheesy way. There are rotating exhibitions of art by local artists which add to the atmosphere. We drive 30 minutes to go to Nelli Rae's, and it is worth every minute. Service is pleasant and efficient.
