- Vegan pizza in downtown Des Moines
This is a quirky little pizza joint in downtown Des Moines. They used to have a couple of vegan pies on the menu, but, according to the bartender (I sat at the bar), a lot of non vegans were ordering them and modifying them with non vegan toppings, so they decided to go with one vegan pie on the menu and a "build your own." The only crust option for vegans is the white crust. The WW has honey. The only two sauce options are marinara or olive oil. They have Daiya cheese and lots of veggie toppings, but no fake meats. I got a 10 inch with no cheese (I don't like Daiya), with lots of veggies, such as corn, spinach, broccoli, and others. It was fresh, hot and tasty.
