I found this place too touristy for my liking - everyone in front of and behind us in the queue, and seated around us, was not a local. Which wasn't surprising (and for which it can't be faulted), given the Trip Advisor certificates displayed. We went there for dinner on Thursday night, and it was a long wait, from standing outside to sitting outside, to sitting by the cashier inside. The meal was generous and filling. The noodles I found a tad dry and hard even after adding sauce - I'm not familiar with Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and am not sure if it's meant to be like that. Staff were considerate to point out which of the two sauces was plant-based. I was a bit confused by the veggie menu initially ( i didn't take a photo, but the most recent one on happy cow is https://www.happycow.net/reviews/nagataya-hiroshima-50692/images#&gid=1&pid=18). Vegans should just zoom in on the "only vegetables" option. Also, if you're a strict vegan, this place might not be for you, as, according to the menu, veggie meals are cooked on the same hotplates as other dishes, though the individual grill in front of you will be cleaned before you're seated.
