- A great find in Cascais
We were very pleased to find this vegetarian/vegan restaurant in Cascais, where most restaurants are fish & meat orientated. The various seitan options were most enjoyable, and the tofu options were very good too. There is an interesting dish called Francesinha, which consisted of layers of bread, tofu & vegetarian chorizo sausage, all covered in sliced cheese (can be omitted for vegans) and surrounded by tomato sauce. Very reasonable prices for both food & drink, and the owner & her staff were always pleasant & obliging. The restaurant is located one of the main tourist streets of Cascais, but it would be easy to miss, as it is located on three floors, none being at street level, and the entrance is only the width of a doorway. If you are a vegetarian visiting Cascais, do try this place & I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
