- good quality & selection, crowded, pay by weight
This is an offshoot of Harvester in Sheung Wan district and has the same format: dish as much as you want from the food selection (20+ dishes) and pay by weight. Free unlimited rice and soup. This is on the campus of Hong Kong University and gets very crowded during lunch hour (12-2pm), popular with students and staff. (My HKU professor friend told me that this is the only place with decent food on campus ever, and he's been teaching at HKU for over 30 years!) Good selection of Cantonese style vegetarian food. (Not sure if everything is vegan.) Good variety and quality. As with Harvester, be careful with how much food you put on your plate. It's easy to overspend here - our plates were HKD78 and HKD58. I saw a few female students who put a tiny portion of a few items on their plate, mainly to get up to the minimum spend requirement, I guess. I can't see how they will be satisfied with that little amount of food, unless they plan on feasting on the free soup and rice... Updated from previous review on Sunday September 21, 2014
