  • Well worth it - a must eat in Dubai!

We struggled to find the restaurant initially, as we didn't have an address, just the print out from happycow's website. But, it was well worth the find. We went for lunch and were ushered upstairs (where a set menu takes place at lunch). Super cheap - 15 dirhams (£3) per person for huge plate of assorted food. The waiters even went around doing free refills of food on your plate as you ate it!! Until you told them to stop because you wouldn't be able to stand up afterward! Delicious, authentic indian food. We stayed at the Bonnington Towers Hotel (luxury heaven!), which as we found out was a 30min taxi ride to this restaurant. Worth the trek to the restaurant and would do it again, as there are NO veggie restaurants in the "touristy" part of dubai (near Jumeira Beach Residences + beach walk). The Metro station near this restaurant hasn't opened yet, but when it does, it should be cheaper to get to. The restaurant is in the less affluent, less shiny/glitzy part of Dubai, but the real food + excellent quality (instead of crappy non-veggie touristy food elsewhere), makes it totally worth it.
