We knew we had to try Candle 79 during our trip to NYC as it seems to be the most famous of vegan restaurants. We were not disappointed. We arrived for lunch when they opened at noon. As we had reservations, we were seated upstairs by the window. The service is impeccable from the waitress, manager, bus boys, everyone. The decor is nice as well. We started with a razzle dazzle cocktail and an iced mochaccino along with the seitan chimichurri. Yummy. Since it's famous for the seitan piccata, we ordered that with the summer fricassee. Both lovely and tasty. For dessert, we got the peanut butter bliss. It was bliss. Everything was. It was a pricey lunch, but very enjoyable.
