I was really looking forward to eating at Candle 79. I had heard of it as the best veg restaurant in NY with a huge following. Because I eat gluten free there weren't as many options for me. I don't even remember what I had, but it was not very good at all. But the wine was delicious, the starter of oyster mushrooms was yummy, the service was very good, and it is a lovely spot. Let me know if you can recommend a good GF main dish!
