• Lovely little spot

Cigkoftem is surprisingly good. They menu is simple, with only 3-4 options, but everything is great. Fresh flavors, well balanced, filling but not too heavy, and very affordable. The staff were very friendly, with nice smiles, and though the two who helped me spoke only a few words of English, they were very helpful and everything was clear and easy. It was clear that they care about their customers and want us to be happy. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor area providing a sidewalk-café ambiance, great for people-watching. If you're near the Aksaray area (or in Sultanahmet and disappointed with the options there), Cigkoftem is a great choice. From the Sultanahmet area, just hop on the tram and get off at Aksaray and keep walking a few blocks west.
