- Ovocafe, Hong Kong
I ate here this evening. It's easy to find at Wan Chai market. As you go in it's the 1st door on the right. The setting / atmosphere is pleasant. The blurb they have clearly states that the menu is based on lacto ovo vegetarianism but they can try to adapt for other types of vegos. I asked the guy serving if they had anything vegan friendly. I must say he was pretty knowledgeable. Basically in the evening at least it's a choice of 1 pasta dish they can do without cheese (the other pasta dish has egg pasta) or salads. I asked about the Bengali sweet potatoes but was told it is cooked with honey. The pasts dish I had was OK without being anything to get excited about. I would have preferred the pasta to be a bit more al dente. However I didn't specify this when I ordered so I can't complain. If you are a vegan grade vegetarian there are a ton of better options available in Hong Kong.
