• Fabulous Hot Dogs

I just had a Chicago style veggie dog and some of Valpo Vienna's fabulous homemade chips, and the entire lunch was fantastic. The poppy seed bun was steamed and soft, and the veggies were very fresh. The homemade spiral chips or whatever they call them were hot and crispy. I have no complaints, except that the menu calls the hotdog and the polish sausage "veggie". When I asked the girl if the hotdog was vegan, she didn't know what I was talking about and seemed confused. The man who answered the phone when I called said the hotdog was vegan, but I think this needs to be clarified on the menu. The hot dog was fabulous, and I I took his word for it that it was vegan, even though it wasn't listed as vegan on the menu, but was listed as "veggie". Clarification and ingredients listed on the menu would be a good idea. This is a really well kept secret, and I wish I had found them on Happy Cow sooner!
