- Great Food
I have been eating here because the Vegan Thali is soooo good. I also love the samosas and the dosas. When asking what is vegan, frequently the servers explain what is not vegan to ensure that those items are not ordered. The servers might claim only a little butter is used on certain dishes because they are ashamed that their restaurant might not be pure enough in the eyes of a vegan even though their vegan dishes are excellent and purely vegan. People from India are very careful to be humble before those that may practice a lifestyle of purity such as a vegan lifestyle. This is a cultural nuance of South Indian people who are genuinely concerned to not upset others. If you go there during Diwali or any other important Hindu holiday time, expect the restaurant to be crowded and service to be a bit slower. I go during off hours due to the popularity of this place. It is always filled with South Indian people who know good food from their own region of India. This restaurant involves sophisticated taste in cuisine and multi cultural sophistication to appreciate what is being offered. I have never been let down by this place and consider it a gem in the turban of Little India. Updated from previous review on 2016-11-04
