  • Great place for lunch

This restaurant is a typical buddhist veg restaurant, possibly called Yangde, rather than the name listed here. It's upstairs from a jewelry shop, opposite Century Park. Around 18 RMB/person. The restaurant is very big, and not very atmospheric, it's a little bit noisy and almost gives you the feeling of a school/workplace cafeteria. The food is great though. A few types of rice and noodles, and a huge selection of different vegetable dishes, tofu dishes, soups, fruits and sweets. Most of the dishes are vegan, but they serve pancakes that might have egg in them, and sandwich cuts with some mayonnaise-like spread. Also has a small shop area which sells some health foods, seitan mock meats and buddhist literature. The staff doesn't speak English. Updated from previous review on 2016-08-13
