  • Falafel place with vegan options

Falafel sultan is a good example how the vegan idea gets wider and wider acceptance, even in places where it would not be expected immediately. Granted, one reason for this acceptance is certainly that they are just around the corner from "Natures Food", Hannovers first 100% vegan store, and cohorts of vegan shoppers coming there have certainly tried in the past to get vegan falafel there instead of waiting for the streetcar while hungry. Because their falafel (both in sandwich, wrap, or as a main dish with salad) always were and still are not only vegan (they make them themselves) but also delicious. They also have vegan sauces and know from exposure to vegan demand what to pay attention to. And they have to be commended, of course, for naming their restaurant after a vegan dish in the first place, instead of calling it some kind of "Doener" place :-) However, recently (March 2014) they have drastically increased their vegan offering by adding some Pizza varieties with "Wilmersburger" vegan cheese (purchased at Nature's Food, of course) to their existing lineup of Falafel and Mercimek (Turkish lentil soup), the traditional staples of vegans in Doener restaurants all over Germany. When shopping for vegan foodstuffs at Nature's Food next time, do give them a try and check out their new offerings.
