  • Good food, but get there in good time too

I arrived at the restaurant at around 3:40 p.m., twenty minutes before their closing time, thinking I could just grab a quick lunch and then be on my way. No such luck, though; the guy at the till would only let me do takeaway because they were closing up. So I got some food from the buffet and went to a park to eat it instead. All the food I had was very good and tasted reasonably fresh (considering the buffet was emptying out and wasn’t being restocked anymore), except the spinach cannellone, which tasted like the spinach hadn’t been properly cleaned or cooked (or maybe Argentinian spinach just tastes different). There were no markings to show what was vegan and what wasn’t, but quite a few of the things at least *looked* like they were vegan. Not nearly as cheap as the previous reviews had me believe, though. The eat-in option was ARS 110 (about USD 7) for lunch, and the weighed takeaway option is ARS 100/kilo (about USD 2.86/lb). Still affordable, but closer to moderate than to inexpensive, I’d say.
