My boyfriend and I went here, and I ordered the Detox Salad and he ordered the Chili Sin Carne, both of which were marked vegan. However, my boyfriend was fairly sure the chili contained beef. We hope it was a substitute, but unfortunately that doesn’t seem likely. He is only vegetarian while I am vegan, and it did not bother him as much as it would have for me. (The idea being that it is worse to throw the animal away). Also, my “vegan” salad came with real butter for the bread. It was a little concerning, which is disappointing since it’s a very common chain in Paris that would be a great place for vegans. Is the chili did not contain beef, the place was only okay. The salad was delicious, and simple, just a few veggies, lentils and oil, and it was more expensive than it was worth. The service was again only okay. Our waiter spoke English to us as soon as he realized French was not our native language, and he was very nice, but it took a long time. In addition, the place was incredibly cramped and uncomfortable. The only reason I would go back is because it is convenient (but I don’t think I will because I’m not sure if I trust was they consider to be vegan).
