- Wonderful food, cosy place!
It calls itself a "café" but honestly it's a bit more like a restaurant than a café. You won't get cheap sarnies and jacket spuds here, but you can get starters, mains, desserts, all really tasty. So the price range is a bit above what you'd pay in a "café", but totally reasonable for what you'd pay in a restaurant. It does get busy, so if you want lunch, either book, or turn up for an early lunch - I have been at 12, and always got a seat! The food is wonderful. They make their own cashew "cheeze" (vegan) and it's really great - order it with the sweet potato wedges!! It is not all vegan, but most of the food is vegan and even the desserts too, you can get vegan brownies and ice cream, or vegan cheesecake. They change the menu seasonally as well, which is always a sign of a good place. It's slightly hidden - it's down an alleyway near the marketplace in the city, but worth a snoop for!
