  • Vegan eating on trendy Lincoln Road

Ask for the vegan menu! Sushi Samba knows good food and vegans are not left out. Edamame is a staple, but the mushroom tofu tapas was scrumptious! Also good was the teriyaki tofu served over vegan purple mashed potatoes (but I liked the mushroom one better). Vegetarian sushi roll was fresh, tasty, and made from quality veggies (no pickled or old veggies here). They also have a red quinoa and veggie roll. Individual veggie "sushi" is also an option such as asparagus, mushrooms, cucumber, or avocado. Also, the menu has appetizers like eggplant skewers and roasted peppers. They also offer three vegan dessert options. Update: the vegan menu has been updated since my last visit, but the vegan options were are all still very good. I think the veggie sushi roll (the veggie kun) is even better than their last veggie roll. One item had cheese, even on the "vegan" menu so watch out, but I think it was just an accident because everything else appeared vegan. The tropical tapioca pudding dessert was very good and came with a delicious scoop of coconut lime sorbet and fruit and little lime cakes on top. Another wonderful meal. Sushi Samba has some premium and quite delicious cocktails with fresh fruit. Not all cocktails are vegan, so read the menu or ask the bartender. Drinks are south beach priced at $13-16 for most cocktails. Dress up for evening dinners and sit outside to people watch and enjoy the Miami weather. The inside seating is noisy, so you may want to avoid it if you don't want a noisier party scene. Also, if you don't want to see raw fish/sushi being made, then sit outside!
