  • Casual and fun Indian street food

I used to chase Curry Up Now food trucks around the city to get ahold of the tasty (and maybe addicting) burritos and deconstructed samosas. Now they have this fixed location in the Mission. It's very hard to park in this area, but worth it to take transit there. They also serve drinks here now too I believe and have an expanded menu. If you haven't had Indian street food before, think of favorite Indian flavors and ingredients wrapped into hand-held, easy to eat forms. Take a plate of rice, chickpeas and vegetables and wrap it in a tortilla for a burrito or pour it over chips for nachos. Definitely worth a try. I'll admit, many of the dishes here are in the not-so-healthy range, featuring plenty of fried goodness alongside some fresh veggies. They are, however, very conscious of eating restrictions, featuring separate menus of gluten-free and vegan choices, respectively. They do warn that everything's made in the same kitchen. Like most places in the Mission neighborhood, it's full of hipster vibe. You'll be drinking out of mason jars and all that jazz.
