• delicious noodles made by the monks of Lingyin temple

This noodle house is actually inside the Lingyin Temple, which is inside the park so we had to pay the two admission fees. The noodle house is to your right when you walk in the temple gate with a small sign that says " vegetarian noodle house" in English under the Chinese characters. You line up to order one of the three noodle dishes (15 rmb each) such as "longevity". Ours included noodles, mushrooms, bok choy and we paid an additional 12rmb for braised tofu. Noodles are made by the monks that live and work at the temple. After you order you get a number that is listed on a screen when your food is ready. While you wait you need to find a seat at one of the shared tables. It was definitely a Delicious meal especially as it was pouring rain. It was also a rad experience for us as American travelers in China. The temple and garden are beautiful and serene. The dining hall has signs posted telling people to be quiet, which I believe resulted in a lower volume then might if otherwise been experienced.
