• Selection small, but delicious food

I agree with the previous post about the extensive vegetarian menu and limited vegan menu, as well as the great prices. I am going to give 4 stars because of how helpful the staff is, and how delicious the food is! I've been here probably 5 or 6 times, and jump back and forth between the vegan items. The food is dependably tasty, and the vegetarians and meat-eaters who dine with me are also always impressed. That makes Sitara a great place to bring a group, where everyone can find something to eat. Additionally, the ambiance is unique because the space is a historic bar turned pizza place turned Indian restaurant. The color scheme is nice, and the booth and bar seating gives Sitara a fun-yet-elegant vibe. I also want to compliment the staff--I have vegan friends who have called ahead to ensure there are vegan menu items, and we are also accommodated when we visit. The staff are friendly and eager to discuss the menu and make recommendations. The location in downtown Urbana is great, and it's a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I'm glad to see they are doing well, and I hope more vegans visit and request dishes -- perhaps that will help them expand their menu!
