We ate at Christie's Kitchen in the fall. I had a gluten free bread and vegan black bean burger and fries. The food was good. Disclaimer: I was hungry. The gluten free bread not too shabby. The burger might have benefited from a little salt-nice gentle spice to it. The salsa that came with the fries was good*. They also have gluten free pies-next time. The vegan menu was not particularly exciting (pasta salad, salad, vegieburger), but it's nice to find accommodations for vegan and gf diet. After all it is still central Oregon--even with the influx of Californians. The staff was polite and helpful. The atmosphere was quite charming-In the downstairs of an old house. It looked like original floors etc. If the weather had permitted it also would have been nice to eat outside in the "backyard". *special note: this website does not allow a five star rating for "veg-friendly" restaurants. I wouldn't have given 5 stars anyway-because really it wasn't wonderful. But as it is "veg-friendly" vegan isn't their specialty.
