- Cheap and quick
I used to be a huge fan of this place. It's located in the city centre so it's convenient for students to drop in here for lunch. Unfortunately, in the past year or two my opinion of this bar has dropped significantly. As someone mentioned before, Green Way seems more like a cantine than a restaurant. A huge pro is that the portions are big and the dishes are quite cheap. There's a lot of sitting place available. If you're dropping in for lunch & in a hurry, food is usually served quickly so that's an upside too. However, I feel like that in case of this place you get what you pay for-- or even less. I understand that everyone has worse day, but everytime I visited this place the staff wasn't too friendly, sometimes I didn't even get a simple 'Hello' when I ordered. When you order curry or other stew-like dishes they're served straight out of huge pots, not even completely reheated. Several times I got curry that was cold. The food doesn't feel fresh at all. I understand that the very idea of Green Way is a cantine-like, cheap and quick place, but I feel like this only worked back when there weren't too many veg*an places in Cracow. Nowadays if you're looking for a cheap vegan bite you may as well go somewhere like Krowarzywa, where you'll be served fresher food for pretty much the same price as in Green Way. And if you're looking for good and fresh vegetarian pierogi/dumplings or other traditional dishes, well... you may find more luck in a restaurant that serves meat too.
