- A few vegan options, could do better
This seems to be a local institution, and when we visited it was packed - reservations seem to be a must. The owner, the eponymous Maurizio, is friendly and helpful with suggestions, and the food met the usual high standard of Italian restaurants. The range of vegan options, however, is not really much greater than the usual options of pasta or cheese-free pizzas you will find in most Italian restaurants - when we visited there was a vegetable curry and a plate of black lentils. Coupled with the fact that the service was very slow, I cannot recommend this place without reservations. Hopefully Maurizio's vegan clients, attracted by its presence on Happy Cow, will encourage them to broaden their range of plant-based dishes.
