- Disappointed
I wanted a fresh juice prior to my dinner and was told the juice bar closed at 3pm. I didn't see this on the menu or on the website. The website indicates where to park (inside Chase building) but doesn't indicate that they will validate the parking IF using the inside parking garage. This would have been nice to know before we parked across the street. We went on a Friday night and there was a guest singer that night. He told us that he sings there every other Friday. The place is small-- not a good time to go if you want to converse with your party. We did sit a table from the singer to be fair. I bought the cheese trio expecting a taste explosion, all I tasted instead were nuts and tartness from the lemon. I did ask for more bread and got some without additional charge. We ordered the tofu stir fry, the tofu was raw and the entree was drenched in some type of oil. I am familiar with miso and I couldn't distinguish it in the meal per the menu description. I expected something a little more traditional but this was far from it. We also ordered the Falafel after we asked if it could be made vegan (server said they could omit the cheese from the salad it came with). When we got the Falafel it had no sauce, when I asked for it she told me it was not vegan-- would have been nice to know this when we asked how it could be made vegan prior to ordering. The sauce makes a Falafel! The Madagascar Almond Spice tea tasted like a watered down cherry kool aid with very little sweetness. The servings were more than adequate. The service was great, the food presentation was very good, and the place was clean. I asked to take the rest of the falafel sandwich and the farro tabbouleh home and was brought an earth friendly box for the falafel, yet a styrofoam container for the farro tabbouleh – not very “Green” at all. I was really disappointed that the food wasn't better and that the prices were so crazy expensive.
