  • One of the healthiest vegan options in Quito.

I've lived in Ecuador for several years now and have to say this is my preferred lunch or breakfast spot, simply because they offer nutritious and filling food for a good price. Other than some lightly fried foods, most of their dishes have very little added oil and use local, healthy ingredients. A full menu, which includes soup, a main dish, a small dessert, colada/juice, and tea, costs $4.70. This seems like a lot in Quito, but it's definitely worth it, especially considering the few healthy vegan and even vegetarian options around. There are also cheaper options if you don't want the whole menu ($3.50-$4). The vibe inside is ok, a little too dark for my liking, but it's quiet and there's a well lit section with windows, which is nice. Also interesting are their cooking classes and their brand fo products, which include healthy snacks, amaranth milk and more. Updated from previous review on Monday November 02, 2015
