Prior to their shop opening in 2013, I had met the owner of this business who makes the chocolates. She operate a booth at the downtown Culver City farmers market on Tuesdays. Came by to checkout the store in September 2013. It's on Washington Blvd, across the street from Shojin vegan restaurant. Park right in front. The shop feels open and has a large kitchen behind the counter. Several bar stools in front for seating. Products are thoughtfully laid out though sparse. The chocolate offerings are simple: some bars, a couple kinds of spreads, and a chocolate drinks menu. The chocolates are stone ground and with added sugar but not cow milk. I got both the almond chocolate spread and the hazelnut chocolate spread ($12 for each 8-oz jar). The spread is yummy on breakfast toast. I've also had the chocolate bar samples and the taste is strong, not creamy or like the bars one get from the grocery store. Current price is $6 per bar for around 2 ounces.
