- Amazing- if you are in Cusco, eat here!
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. My husband and I visited in May 2014 and we were completely overwhelmed. Tucked away on a little side street, the restaurant itself was quaint and welcoming. (We walked from our hotel near the main square and it was not more than 15min. Do look it up on a map and know where you're going as it's not the easiest to find) We had just finished the Inca trail and were so excited for fresh vegan food we ordered way too much, but they were very kind and packed up the extras for us. We had: fresh mint lemonade, pumpkin cream soup, vegan creole soup, the samosas, the lasagna, mushroom risotto, and the chocolate cake. Everything was delicious, but the lasagna really blew me away. Everything is incredibly fresh and made with care- it shows. The server was kind and spoke English, which we were grateful for. When we finished our meal my husband went and found the owner and we chatted with him. He was so kind, and clearly cares so much about what he does. The only downside was that we found Green Point on our last evening in Cusco and were not able to go back. If you are visiting Cusco, go here near the beginning of your visit, as you will want to go back! So delighted to find this place, we still talk about it as one of the highlights of our three weeks in beautiful Peru.
