- Courtyard veggie snacks and breakfast
Wonderful little stall in the Pochote market. There are several other vendors who offer vegetarian options, but she is the only one who is completely vegetarian. Their dishes vary each day; vegans watch out as there is usually an egg or cheese sauce, but there are also vegan options as well, just ask. They put a plate together for you from what you pick out and serve it with tortillas. A woman nearby sells great fresh juices making this an ideal breakfast (it's open early!) and lunch space. Note that food typically starts running out or gets less appealing around 2 or 3 p.m. Owners and employees are friendly, if sometimes a bit harried. Overall this is a great option for people who want a veggie option within walking distance from the zocalo – about 4-5 blocks total.
