  • Friendly with a wide menu

The waiters were friendly and attentive, and the menu varied. There is an English menu available. My food was healthy and warming with good ingredients and good sized portions, although a bit plain. Great fresh fruit juices and a range of deserts. It seems to be the only veggie restaurant in town and there is veggie literature and posters around. It's lovely to be in a safe environment! All the staff were male and one of the booklets was a very interesting list of eminent vegetarians, also male. Something to reflect upon. So I researched some eminent females: Rosa Parks, Mary Shelley, Carmen Miranda, Charlotte Bronte, Doris Day, Montserrat Caballé. But I enjoyed discovering while in Russia that Tolstoy was vegetarian.
