There is much to like about this place and I see a lot of potential to build a flourishing vegan business here. However, I believe some urgent changes are needed if they want to avoid ending up with zero guests. On the positive side, this 100% vegan place is a hotel and has two restaurants: a "fast" food restaurant and a proper (more posh) restaurant. The chef certainly knows how to cook a proper tasty vegan meal and is really passionate about vegan cooking. However, after staying there for two nights and having had dinner and lunch in the restaurant ( and also tried the fast food), there were too many negative aspects which made the whole experience rather disappointing. - One major issue is the old, grumpy and unfriendly man (likely one of the owners) who doesn't seem to like interacting with hotel guests. Everything you ask seems to make him moody as if he really doesn't like his job. - the service in both restaurants is extremely poor. Part of the problem is that they are understaffed. The same person was serving all tables of both restaurants, sometimes with some help from one of the managers. It's all going very slow, even serving a few drinks can take more than 30 mins. They also tend to forget a lot; every meal they forgot to serve some of the drinks, ordered side dishes, etc, resulting in longer waiting times or getting your drink after finishing your meal. - Most of the food was really good with some exceptions. They need to work on their desserts and should be more careful with overusing pepper. Despite the good food, it's definitely overpriced and they like offering more toppings or side dishes without being clear about the additional costs (= fairly extreme additional costs). The advice here is to double check your bill! - the hotel rooms are decent and fairly big but old-fashioned; they could have been cleaner (with less spiders everywhere). - extensive and nice breakfast with lots of choice
