- Good Vegan Food
Myself and my girlfriend went here on a Tuesday night for a quick bite to eat. Our walk to the restaurant wasn’t the most picturesque, although I think this was due to the side that we approached from (north rather than south.) The restaurant itself was very welcoming and bright despite being quite small. It became quite busy during our meal, which may be due to the nearby Food Temple being closed on Tuesdays. The banner outside states that it is a vegetarian restaurant, but the staff confirmed that the menu was 100% vegan (there seems to be some confusion on here.) The service we received throughout was very good - with the meals clearly explained and dishes brought out quickly. The food itself was tasty and quite inventive - my only negative was the presentation which on a couple of the dishes could have been improved. In particular I had a vegan sausage with steamed vegetables and mash - the sausage was broken in parts, the veg consisted only of some steamed brocolli and the whole dish was covered in a strangely coloured sauce, but each element was delicious so its a minor point. On the positive side the desserts(chocolate salami and an excellent Banana and strawberry cake) were superb. Overall we really enjoyed our meal here and the price was very reasonable.
